Gum disease can be a serious health issue. It should be detected and treated as early as possible. Did you know that the bacteria that causes gum disease can contribute to more serious problems like heart disease, diabetes, stroke, lung infections, and respiratory diseases?

We treat the early stages of gum disease aggressively with non-surgical therapy. Most treatments involves scaling and root planing- the removal of plaque (sticky bacteria) and calculus (hard accumulation of bacteria) and smoothing the surfaces of the tooth.  Antibiotics may be needed to supplement the effects of scaling and root planing.

Our office works with patients to keep them on track for a full recovery so repeat or more advanced therapy can be avoided in the future!
